Amsterdam, Netherlands. My lovely friend Lisa from anywhere’s perfect visited the land of cheese and cycling action, but also took time to visit some vintage shops. Lucky for us, as now we can enjoy her guide to vintage Amsterdam! 🙂

Amsterdam is an absolute gem of a city and filled with super-stylish people. No wonder, with the variety of shops it has to offer, including wonderful vintage shops, of course.

This vintage shop is one of five Episode stores in Amsterdam (and you can also find them in a few other cities around Europe). Each one of the them offers a huge variety of vintage clothing, both for men and women.

Looking for a vintage leather bag? Episode. Looking for a fur coat? Episode. Looking for a cool patterned shirt? Episode. It definitely has you covered with everything your heart desires!

This shop, located on Haarlemmerstraat, a street full of cute shops and cafés, is smaller than most of the Episode shops but not less packed with vintage treasures. You can also find great jewellery or other types of accessories from all decades – next to the typical denim jackets, leather coats or floral dresses of course.

Marbles, a vintage shop with two different locations around Amsterdam, offers clothes from Levi’s jeans, over H&M boots to very unique treasures from the 80s. And the best thing is: the things are affordable, for the oh-so-chic Levi’s shorts you only have to pay around €19. So make sure not to miss Marbles when you’re in Amsterdam!

But my absolute favourite treasure trove in Amsterdam, was the flea market at the IJ-Hallen, which is the biggest flea market in all of Europe and is full of furniture, home accessories and clothes, from very antique to last seasons Monki collection. You can spend hours walking around the part indoors, part outdoors market without getting bored.

How to get there? Just go to Centraal, jump on the free ferry and ten minutes later you’re over in Amsterdam Noord, where you can find a few cute cafés next to the huge industrial hall full of vintage.

PRICERANGE: €-€€ (depending on your bargain/negotiating skills)
